5 Springtime Activities in Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe features everything from spring skiing to paddling on crystal clear waters to dining at casinos. The variety of activities set this destination apart from so many other resort towns because of the vast mountain and water options.

When you are ready for a break from the slopes, read below for 5 of our favorite activities to do this spring on your Lake Tahoe Visit.

Paddling the Lake
Rent a kayak or paddleboard and check out one of the stretches of Lake Tahoe. The crystal clear water will have you glistening in delight.  The snowy mountain backdrop that glides right to the shore will have you in awe.  King’s Beach is our favorite!

Bike along Truckee River Bike Path
There are a variety of sports shops that are dusting off the bikes getting ready for spring peddling along the many bike paths and bike friendly roads.  A must do is taking the scenic and relaxing Truckee River bike path up to Squaw Valley.

Lakefront Dinner and Casinos
Visit Hyatt Regency’s Lone Eagle Grille for a special dinner and night out. With beautiful views on the Tahoe lakefront, you will be sure to savor this romantic evening. T hen head over to a casino where you can test your luck on some big winnings.

Helicopter Tour
Take your adrenaline to a new level with a helicopter tour over Lake Tahoe. You will see the lake at a grandeur perspective.  Gaze out into the horizon where steep mountains stretch for miles.  This birds eye view will have you in awe of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains and crystal waters below.  A helicopter tour is an adventure of a lifetime!

Visit a Museum
If rain or snow has you venturing inside, there are a number of fantastic museums in Lake Tahoe.  One notable museum to check out is the Donner Party Museum at Donner Lake.  Learn about the history of the pioneers journey through the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
