Lake Tahoe

Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows: Two mountains and 6,000 skiable acres, all on one pass. Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is broken up into 14 zones to help you navigate its enormous size. From gentle groomers to expert only chutes and steeps, there is something for everyone here. 

Getting There

Fly into Reno-Tahoe International airport on one of the 100 daily non-stop flights from over 22 cities around the country. From there its a short 55 minute drive or shuttle ride

Where to Ski

With over 6,000 acres between the two mountains, we could spend all winter telling you where to ski, instead let us focus on a few of the 14 zones.

Blue Room - Accessed by any of the 5 base lifts, Blue Room is a collection of intermediate terrain ranging from long groomers to bumps and chutes. Take a continuous 1,500ft top to bottom run or drop into the wide-open Alpine Bowl. Expert skiers can head left off the lift to get into some steep trees and chutes.

KT-22 - Voted the best chairlift in North America, KT-22 is an expert's playground. 2,000 vertical feet of steeps, chutes, and cliffs make this area heaven for the advanced skiers and riders. Try your hand at Chute-75, this iconic run is steep and unforgiven on the legs. 

Snowventures - Welcome to Squaw Valleys family-friendly zone with gentle slopes and beginner lifts and magic carpets. This area is perfect for the new skier or rider. You will also find additional activities to partake in like mini snowmobiles and tubing.

Non-Skiers

Snow Tubing - Located in the family-friendly Snowventures zone, Snow Tubing is a great family activity that brings smiles to all!

Aerial Tram Ride - This 10-minute tram ride offers stunning views of mountain vistas and Lake Tahoe, ending at 8,200ft above sea level. 

Dining

Twenty-Two Bistro and Bar - Take in the views of KT-22 at this cozy bistro featuring an extensive wine list, custom cocktails, and a variety of sharable plates for the table. 

Tremigo Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar - Located in the heart of the Village at Squaw Valley, Tremigo is offering up delicious-authentic Mexican dishes.

Sierras 

Mammoth Mountain: Typically Californias longest ski season and home to the highest lift-served peak, Mammoth Mountain is one of the best resorts this state has to offer. Your Ikon Pass gets you unlimited access to over 3,500 skiable acres with an average of over 400 inches of snow annually.

Advanced riders will appreciate the top of the mountain for its steep chutes and glades as well as wide-open bowls. Around the mountain, riders will find an equal mix of terrain suitable for all ability levels. If you are a terrain park rider, look no further. Mammoth is home to the award-winning Unbound Terrain Parks with 2 half pipes and over 50 jumps.

Getting There 

Fly into Mammoth Lakes Airport with direct flights from Denver, San Fransisco, and Southern California daily. The airport is only a short 20-minute drive into town, grab a taxi or shuttle

Non-Skiers

Snowmobiling - Get off the resort and explore miles of wilderness in the High Sierra. 

Snowcat Tour - Enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery from the comforts of a heated snowcat. Take a morning, mid-day, or après tour.

Dining

Campo Mammoth - Rustic Italian fare in the heart of Mammoth Village. 

Sushi Rei - Try some Asian-Fusion food at this family-friendly hangout. Whether you have a taste for sushi, ramen, or curries, Sushi Rei is sure to please everyone.

June Mountain: June Mountain is your destination for 1,500 acres of uncrowded, no-frills skiing and riding. Perfect for families and friends of all ages and ability levels. The advanced rider should head up to June Mountain Summit, where they will find some expert levels chutes and glades. Beginners and intermediate riders have plenty to choose from at Rainbow Summit or mid-mountain at The Chalet. 

Getting There

Fly into Mammoth Lakes Airport with direct flights from Denver, San Fransisco, and Southern California daily. The airport is a 30-40 minute drive to the resort. 

Dining

June Meadows Chalet Cafe - Located at the top of the J1 Chairlift, this cozy chalet is serving breakfast and lunch with indoor/outdoor seating. 

June Pie & Cone - Enjoy NY style pizza in the high sierras. This is a great casual eatery perfect for the whole family. 

SoCal

Big Bear Mountain Resort: Located approximately two hours from Los Angeles, Big Bear is home to two mountains serving up over 1,000 acres of skiable terrain. Here, you have the unique opportunity to surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon. Big Bear Mountain Resort is home to two unique peaks, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. 

Bear Mountain is SoCal’s premier area for terrain parks. Over 14 terrain parks and 3 halfpipes spread across 700+ acres. Big Bear is 70% intermediate to advanced terrain. That should not stop a beginner from hitting the park, head over to the Skill Builder Park to learn the ropes. Already an expert? The award-winning Red Bull Plaza is home to urban-inspired features. 

Snow Summit is 240 acres of family-friendly terrain with a respectable 1,200ft vertical drop. Enjoy the 1.25 mi west ridge trail or one of their 6 terrain parks. If your legs are still ready for more, Snow Summit also offers night skiing until 8:30 pm.

Getting There

Located only 2-3 hours from Orange County, San Diego, or Los Angeles, BBMR is easily accessible from any of those major airports. Simply rent a car and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
